Because when we pray to him, he starts to answer our prayers but in the 1000 years for his 1 day we are already dead and gone?

He seems quick to smite people.

Also the first one to preach religious garbage at me wins a free T-shirt!

Because praying is a delusion brought on by guilt. You're guilty and want to pretend that you can be forgiven easily. You want something and are afraid to get it, you pray and hope that some "higher being" magically does it for you.

I am just a lay person with no formal religious education or training. I believe the writers of the Bible (Genesis) tried their best to describe how the Earth was created and if you line up the evolutionary process with the Bible, things tend to line up. I don't believe that God was there guiding their hands and telling them what to write. They really had little to go by other than knowledge of days. I can't explain why they wouldn't say "years." Also why can't God make adjustments along the way for how long a day is. Maybe it took time for God to get 24 hours in a day right.
I firmly believe that no prayer goes unanswered. I think that God, like any parent, can teach us lessons by saying, "No." So while it might look as prayers go unanswered, God might just be saying, "No." Otherwise I'd be rich and living with no worries and the world would be more ideal.

The argument here would be that no prayer goes unanswered. They're just not answered the way we want them to so we assume they're not answered. But God can, and frequently does, say no.

And it's not that God's days are necessarily longer, it's that he exists outside of space and time so he is not confided to the dimensions in the way we are.

The above is from a classical theological standpoint. People of other religions/backgrounds will disagree of course.

Also this isn't "preaching religious garbage" it's expressing a religious opinion. If you don't want it, why would you ask?

I get answers to my prayers faster than I expect many times.

Perhaps your prayers are unanswered because you want God to be a genie, rather than your Lord.

Or, perhaps you are praying with the wrong motives; such as selfish gain, pride or worthless worldly things.

As for worthless? Most Christians who have seen fruit in their lives will agree with what I just said: But, I'll take a t-shirt! I need something to dry my car.

Most of all, understand that God is very patient with Sinners. That's the reason Christ hasn't returned yet.

God always hears and answers our prayers. It's important that when we pray, we finish with the words "Thy will be done." Sometimes God withholds certain things from us because it wouldn't be good for us in the long term.

God's time frame isn't ours, we have to be patient. And also, they used the word day as a period of time, it wasn't actual. It was however, 1000 years.

And how can anyone answer this without mentioning religion at all?

god always answers prayers, haven't you ever been to a football game or watched an award show. if god didn't answer your prayers then you must be on his 'NO' list. only the blessed get answers that are 'YES'. so all the prayers to end suffering and hatred and greed and ignorance and all the other injustices of the world that you and i would put an end to if we were all powerful, just happen to be on god's 'NO' list also. see god answers all prayers. he is just a big fan of 'winners' not losers.

thats why i worship santa, atleast he actually rewards those who are good like he asks. and he comes every year on the same night. Santa loves you.

Santa is returning soon - are you prepared

God answers prayers, it may take 23 years to answer or your prayer might be answered in two seconds, but they all get answered. God's timing is the best. He knows what He's doing so if you got a question why not ask Him and read the Bible. If you think reading and praying would be a waste of your time, then fine, but it works!!!

God did no longer would desire to take a seat down back. He did that for us. He set up an occasion for us. He advised us that we had 6 days to paintings. on the seventh day we are meant to take a seat down back and worship Him. God became basically exhibiting us what may well be a sturdy schedule for the worldwide. i'm able to't say what precisely became dealing with His techniques whilst He dd that, i'm no longer Him. yet as for the evolutionist Creationist it incredibly is stupid. The Bible says that the worldwide became created in six days, no longer million of years. in case you probably did have self belief that God incredibly created the worldwide over all that factor then you definately incredibly don't get God. the reason that he created the worldwide became so as that He would have fellowship with Him. Why might he prefer to tax Himself over hundreds of thousands of years consistently making little ameliorations to all of creation whilst He would desire to in basic terms say SHAZAM and have all of it already carried out. That sounds kinda stupid desirable. of direction i in my view do understand that i'm no longer contained in the least bit God, so i'm able to't even start to understand Him. He would desire to of carried out it this way if that's what He chosen, i'm no longer putting Him in a field. yet that may not the factor. the factor is that he did no longer create us by making use of evolution. Plus why might God use a theory it is so full of holes as Evolution is, and supply it to the worldwide with the aid of a guy who became very lots so no longer a Christian? in case you question me that may not the God i understand. he's a lots smarter dude than that.

Time means nothing to God, supposedly. The reason he doesn't answer prayers is because he doesn't feel that person needs whatever they're asking for. It doesn't fit in with his grand "plan" whatever the f*ck that is. Or you just don't believe in him enough or you didn't ask right or you're not holy enough, whatever. It's totally random. I'm not making these answers up. As a non-practicing Christian, these are the explanations I was given as a child.

God is in a different dimension than we are. He works outside of our time dimension. Given that; He also created our time dimension, so He can effect it and change what He wills. The true question is, what is your prayer? I you are truly seeking God, Christ; then your prayer will be answered. "...Whosoever believes, will have eternal life." If you are seeking some "thing" from God, no matter what it is, then He may or may not choose to answer. Only when we seek Him (Christ) with all our heart, mind and souls, will we see God.

Naw, it's just that the Old Fart has gone hard of hearing and He has gotten pretty cranky, too.
So if He can hear you, it's as like as not He'll be in smite first/ask questions later mode. But odds are He'll just lean in and say "Eh?"
Which is what causes hurricanes and tornados, by the way.
