Maybe we could band together(for a change) and block the Yahoo Overseers Police Dept.

Blocking is of very limited usefulness; I'm only using it to keep some of the more rabid "fans" out there from going through my Q&A history and "thumbs-downing" all my posts. It's petty of me, I know, but . . . so's that.

"Ignore" would be a nice function, though. I'm on several fora where you can make other people just flat disappear from the board YOU see. Kinda hard to be a troll in an empty room, lol. :-)

Lets not block each other. Let us have open discussion regarding what you believe about this and what I believe about that. I am not sure that we will change each others' minds, but at least we will give open dialog to some people on the R&S site who are genuinely interested in making intelligent decisions for themselves.

I will not ever block another user for any reason. Such an act runs contrary to my love of freedom of expression. However, I will neither condemn someone for blocking another, nor expect to remain unblocked myself. That would run contrary to my belief that people are free to choose to act however they wish to, so long as those actions do not harm others.

I've added a lot of contacts, because I am interested in their questions and/or what they star.

And let us be honest; there are a lot of trolls, and I have blocked some of them in the hopes that a future YA feature is that they disappear from the question board. That's what usenet filter does, anyway! :)

No one will use that silly block button. Why would christians block out all the atheists? And have no one to argue with? It goes both ways.

A troll is the only one's I would block. . .I think that is more of the purpose for the function anyway.

My guess is there will be a flurry of blocking, followed by boredom followed by unblocking because deep down, people love to argue.

Ah, my shrewdness, one should block no one, we all need to become one! Let us all get linked up now!
