Dear, you don't have to defend yourself here or anywhere else. Don't pay any attention to the ignorant low-lifes that appear on this forum or for others in society.

This is a nation of immigrants and you have a perfect right to be here.... As to your document issue, wait until you are 18 years old - an adult - and try to straighten it out on your own.

Good Luck.

No, you did nothing wrong... your parents did when they brought your family here ILLEGALLY. Don't waste your money on lawyers. Go back to wherever you were born and start the immigration process LEGALLY. Amnesty for illegals in the USA isn't going to happen and after yesterdays defeat for the immigration bill, illegals can expect a government crackdown to follow. The American citizens are up in arms over this issue and will not rest until the borders are secured and illegals in this country are deported.

Move back to your country and get out of ours. You are a criminal. A lawbreaker and a criminal. Weather by your actions or the actions on your parents. Your educations cost us money, your being here cost us money, you parents and you are breaking our nations laws and we live by our laws. Thus you are not a good citizen. Now as you have a social security card that is another infraction of the law. And as you dad is a truck driver he is breaking the law. And taking another person job. GET OUT.

Some of the laws regarding how you apply are confusing I will admit.
I know there was a story I read where one man applied under a religious visa as he was a minister. But he applied again for him and his family. His religious visa was granted but the other was not so he could stay but his family couldnt. But if he had applied for him and his family on the religious visa they could have stayed.

You may need to apply on your own yes.

Get a different lawyer. If your here working and you have been here for as long as you have you ought to be able to get toward the front of the line I would think. If you ask me, you ought to be her for seven years and if you are a productive citizen and can pass a criminal history check FINE!!!!

I agree with Katie. Having some experience in this, if you speak english, have a diploma, SS card and residency, they'll grant a green card.

I have a social security card too. It says 'not valid for employment' on it. . We own a hair salon and pay $6000 back in taxes every year. They still wont let us get green cards and we've been here 19 years. I tried getting a lawyer, it cost me $5000 and we still got denied. There's nothing you can do i've tried it all, even tried getting married and I couldn't handle it.

I am pretty pissed off but we're just pawns on the chess board.
