Hi.Anxiety can play havoc to all of our bodies working parts including all types of stomach upsets ,palpitations ,clammy hands, aches and pains dizziness, dry mouth,.hyperventilation and other body symptoms .All these symptoms increase in severity bringing on a panic attack which is very frightening.Breathing into a paper bag helps as the lungs get more carbon dioxide which helps the symptoms start to subside and the panic lessons gradually allowing the sufferer to get back to normal(for them)

There is a direct relationship. When you are feeling anxious or under stress, the acid in your stomach increases. Because there is more acid, it has a tendency to reflux up through the esophagus, and into our throat and mouth, giving us a horrible taste. If untreated, it can cause esophageal burns/ulcers.

Yes, I have acid reflux, and it seems to act up when I'm stressed or nervous

depending on the way your body reacts to anxiety.
some ppl produce more gastric juices when anxious and i guess the bowels move more too, so the gastic juices travel up to your oesophagus. :)
