Seems like everyone is ignoring your parents. Listen to you parents. You have a lifetime of work ahead of you, wait 'til your 18.

First of all, make sure you dress for the occasion. Circuit City has a dress code policy, so be sure to dress business casual (no jeans - usually a nice pair of slacks or a skirt with a work-appropriate top, clean shoes, etc.)

Next: BREATHE! It's your first interview and the nerves will be a tad overwhelming, but I assure you it'll be fine. Instead, focus on being confident in yourself and your abilities. Hiring managers are like dogs and can smell fear (or at least that's the way it seems sometimes) and the interview will go much easier and quicker if you're confident.

Show up 10-15 minutes early and go to the customer service counter and say that you have an interview with Chase. They will either point you in the right direction or call him to greet you. You may have to wait a little while (you DID arrive early), but he may also be able to talk to you sooner (depending on what he's doing at the time).

Greet him with a smile and shake his hand. He'll be likely to introduce himself, so be sure that if he hasn't already addressed you by name that you state your name as well. Chase will then probably take you to an office and ask you a few questions about your application, yourself, and why you want the job. Be honest with your answers, but don't ramble on unnecessarily.

Also, be sure to research the company and the jobs that you may be doing. Supervisors are impressed by a general knowledge by the potential employee and are more likely to know someone who knows more about the job than someone who knows next to nothing.

Hopefully these tips help. =)

First of all - a job interview always makes one nervous... especially if it is the first one.

When you are there, take some deep breath and try to be calm and relaxed. You may even tell Chase that you are a bit nervous since this is your first job interview. That will break the ice and I am sure Chase will help you out there in a relaxed way. After all - Chase had his first job interview also at some time ago. He must have felt the same.

Further - do NOT lie.... whatever questions you have to answer. Honesty will always pay off in the end. If he asks if you have any experience in whatever, answer truthfully and say/add you are a fast learner. Dress decent and look presentable...... no ripped jeans or that kind of stuff!. Make it your best appearance.... and always have a charming smile. What they are looking for is eye contact when you answer questions or otherwise talk. Avoiding looking at the interviewer may give the impression you are hiding something.

I wish you the best of success! Smile.... :)

Ok, first off calm down...dress nicely, let customer service know you have an appointment with Chase-only tell them what it is about if they ask..., smile and act confident as if you already work there. Chase will most likely take you into a office and ask several questions...he might ask your strengths and weaknesses- you can say things like I am a hard worker, I am responsible, I work well unsupervised...and I am working on my weaknesses..which are......
If you can act calm and confident you stand a much better chance of getting the position. Show him why you would be an asset to the company....You can fall apart when you get home...what an interview consists of is him asking you questions about when you can work..what your experiences are...if you have helped around the house it is work experience...even if you have babysat it is work experience...tell him you are a fast learner and look forward to getting work experience... If I were you I would learn some facts about your local circuit city and let him know you have the goal of maybe managing one of the CC one day. Smile and be confident....hope it helps...oh I used to interview people for several different companies...

I worked at Circuit City as a senior technology specialist. I loved it but the company def has changed and I no longer work there. However, you def need to find a way to get to your interview. It really does look very bad for you not to show up. I'm sure you will never get called back for an interview there if you do not show up. What you said about going in there for thw interview, that is right-you do go up to customer service and say just that. They will ask you random questions about yourself (like an essay type question) but it will be cool. Just make yourself sound good.

Just go into the store, to the customer service desk and let them tell you where you need to be. Be at least a few minutes early.

Just relax, dress neatly , be clean and neat. The interview is just a chat to see how you deal with people, and to clarify any things in your resume. Its also a time to discuss any questions you have about the job. Dont be afraid to ask for more explanation , or say you dont understand the question , but be polite. Sometimes the questions are a bit odd, but they are trying to find if what you think important is the same as theirs.

Yes go to customer service tell them who you are and whom you are there to see. Here are some possible questions that you might be asked so you can brush up on what you will say.
Why do you want to work here?
What are your strong points?
What are your weak point?
What have you done or would you do to strengthen your weak points?
How would you deal with an upset customer?
Can you work any shift?
Can you give us an example of how you dealt with an upset, or angry person?
What are your goals?
Where do you want to be in five years?
What would someone say are your best qualities? your worst?
These are a few standard questions, they might not all come up but the majority usually do.
Good luck with your interview I hope this helps

...has really crossed the line with its latest cost cutting move. By chopping 3,400 of its most highly paid retail staffers, the country's second-biggest electronics retailer is making a losing bet that the drop in sales resulting from canning its best sales people will be more than offset by the lower pay that it gives to the less capable replacements.

Dress professsionally, be respectful, prepare good questions that you would like answers to that will help determine if you want to work there. Hopefully you have a resume, bring a few copies.

You'll do fine.

i'm unsure what they age is, yet be user-friendly in the event that they ask you the way old you're, and make advantageous that they understand you would be turning 18 quickly via fact they might hire you anyhow while you're that close.
