I applied for a job at adult correctional facility and after the interview I was told that I was to young ( 19) for the job. I recieved a letter in the mail about 2 months later telling me that I was reffered to a youth rehabilitation center. They told me that
it is an orientation and I need to bring 3 reference letters and my resume. I am very confused .... I never interviewed for this job and they are calling me in for orientation. Isn't this strange. Any insight will be helpful. Thank you.

They are giving you the base to train you for the postion you asked for...and putting you where they CAN use you because of your age. Go for it....youth rehab is a correctional faciltiy too. It sounds to me like someone was impressed with your interview or resume and wants to prime you for the postion for later...It will look really good if you work with the youth and make your way up..by the time you get the other job you can go in at a higher level and higher pay....Call and talk to them if you are confused...but If I were you I would go for it...it is all part of the same type of job....hope it helps

The original place that told you you are to young for that position is probably owned by the same people for this new position. It appears they liked you and found a comparable position in one of their other places. If it is an orientation think you just landed a job.
