I answered you on the other. No it won't affect you here in the UK. Two separate countries with two different legal systems. If you were charged with a serious felony then that could be a problem, but all you were charged with was DUI. I am not saying that excuses you at all, you should have been more responsible, as I said you could have killed someone then it would have been extremely serious for you. It won't affect your licence at all in this country and points will not be put on your licence for a misdemeanour which happened in the USA. Just take this as a lesson to you, DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.

in case you're only after a common commute visa, no longer a undertaking. in spite of the undeniable fact that, you would be asked in case you have a criminal checklist. I recommend you frequently tell the certainty in those situations, you will commonly be asked to sign a announcement till now landing and hand it in to customs. in case you do no longer declare your previous historic previous and that they discover out, you have your visa cancelled and be asked to depart the country. Immigration are related to a international community that keeps this type of information modern-day, so your conviction may be in many situations happening. In those situations it is likewise smart to declare any acquittals or situations in progression. no longer doing so constitutes perjury (despite if there's no purpose and that's harmless), the end results of which may be that any extra visa purposes via you would be refused. in case you're employing for the different form of visa, it truly relies upon. a significant criminal checklist will mean you fail the character try, a minor infraction will frequently be allowed to bypass, yet they do have distinctive discretion and that's confirm don a case to case foundation. good success and bon voyage

No, they can't mark your UK driving licence in any way. But it might be a long time before you are allowed to drive in the US`again. To be on the safe side, you should keep a record of your conviction, just in case you ever want to apply for a US visa. http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/niv/add_crime.html

When you take out insurance you are asked about any convictions etc. If you say that you do have any, you will be lying and your insurance would be invalid.

Mind you, how could they find out.
