Depends upon the individual cats personalities and how well they get along.
Some cats enjoy being the only cat and merely tolerate the presence of others in the home. I once had a shy female cat who became much more confident when her bullying brother died - the vet told me this is quite common.
On the other hand, cats that are emotionally bonded, will mourn the loss of their companion and some can become quite depressed.

Yes, they do, especially if they were really close. Cats can go through a type of depression. Here is a website that will help explain the different emotions displayed by cats when they lose one of their feline friends.

In my experience with my cats, yes. Mickey and Minnie were both cats I had- Mick was first and 4 yrs older. Minnie was 13 when Mick died and he had been in her life those entire 13 yrs. They were not exceptional close- more of a coexistence, by she did definately mop around and become skittish for awhile, when he died.

yes they would. Cats don't necessarily remeber another cat personally but, they do lose that comforting sensation that they know some other thing is there with them, so they will feel lonely (which they don't usually feel with company).
Do you understand know?
