Let's take a look at your question. Now we know for sure how far away cheer it. And we have a very good idea exactly where yonder is. Our problem is calculating how far or long is OVER.

After much consideration I would say OVER is exactly as long as, a ways, a fer piece, a spell, from here to there and as far as you can spit...................whew. (tough question......lol)

In other words cheer is here......................................................
......................and yonder is over here!

Coupla rods,then take a left at the ol' oak and go that ways for a spell. Maybe a furlong or so.
