Hello everyone, I am going to ask my girlfriend today to marry me, I just want to know, at the wedding can anyone tell me exactly what I am suppose to do please? What do I need to say to her? When I propose to her do I show her the wedding ring? I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could describe the whole wedding proccess including the wedding it self. Thank you, may God bless you

Most likely if your girlfriend says yes, she'll be the one doing most of the wedding planning, so you probably don't have to worry too much about that. But do pick out a ring. (Maybe ask her best friend or mother to help you pick one out that she'd like.) At the wedding itself, whoever is performing the service will have set vows for you to repeat ("I, Michael, take you, Maria, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others, till death do us part..." or something like that). Or you can choose to write your own.
But the whole wedding process really depends on what kind of wedding you want to have. Everyone is different. It can be huge and expensive or it can be small and intimate. Just ask the girl first and worry about the process later.

Well, once you decide on where to tell her, you need to first tell her you love her more than any person in the universe and want to spend the rest of your life with her. With that said, you then get down on one knee and say, "you would make me the happiest man in the world if you would marry me!" When she cries and screams and says "oh, my God, I love you!" You pull out the ring and put it on her hand. You both will then be so happy that you'll want to visit people and tell them you're engaged to be married. Once you do this, I would go to a local church and get some pre-marital counseling. It will answer a lot of questions for you about the process of wedding and what a marriage is really all about. Good luck to you both and may you always be a happy as you are right now.

Take her some where that is special to you both. Get down on your knee and explain to her why you can't live without her for the rest of your life. Ask her to marry you. When she says yes, give her the ring. Then the planning starts! Play as big or small a role as she would like you to. On the actual wedding day you will have practiced the ceremony already. You repeat the vows, say "I do", exchange rings, kiss and you are married!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Wait, are you asking her to marry you at a wedding you are attending? If this is your plan please do not do it, you will most definitely steal the bride and grooms thunder, and that would be very unfair.

If not and you are just getting your terms mixed up, what you are going to do is called proposing, you should first ask her father for his permission, it shows respect for him that you are asking and he will appreciate it, then you plan out your attack, do something unique and special, she will remember this the rest of her life. Get down on your knee and with the ring in your hand ask her to marry you. After she says yes, you will be engaged. Engagement lasts until your wedding day, during the engagement you will plan the wedding and all that comes along with it. After your wedding ceremony you will be married.

Hope that helps you with the terms and general time lines.

Best of luck!

Make it romantic, do something that you wouldn'y usually do and tell her that you have to ask her something super important and make sure you have her full attention. Take her by her left hand and tell her how much you love her and how happy the 2 of you have been and that you have decided that you would like to spend the rest of your life with her, pull the ring out, and ask her to be your wife. and wait for what she says and then put the ring on! I wish you the best! Remember, a marriage is forever!

You ask her.
SHe says YES (we hope)
Give her the engagement ring.

Do what my hubby did when he asked me.. He asked me if i had one wish to come true and I told him that i would love to be his Mrs. someday.. Waiting for the perfect timing, he got on one knee and asked me to be his Mrs...... while Josh Groban was singing. It was sooo sweet and awesome.. Of course I said yes. Then he put the ring on my finger and we both couldn't wait until our wedding. :D We started right after the concert. Just make it simple.. Good luck.. Don't worry, everything will go good. :D

If you're not sure how you're going to propose or what you're going to say, I highly recommend this book: http://www.mikelikesit.com/cgi-bin/r/r.cgi?v=proposals

I bought it before I proposed and I am so glad that I did. I got the inspiration for a great proposal that my now-wife loved. She still talks to her friends about it.

tell her how much you mean to her.

When you propose to her, get down on one knee, open the box with the ring, look up at her and say,

"[Her name] I love you. Will you marry me?"

good luck :]!
