You never own a Border Collie. When one consents to share his life with you, you are truly blessed. Mine was with me for 9 years and he was the most intelligent, loyal dog I've ever had the privilege to know.

I have 2 Aussies...one blue merle with a tail, and one black tri 8 year old. Both enjoy herding, agility, obedience, and chasing tennis balls until they pass out in exhaustion.
I also have 2 Border Collies, except one is purebred and the other is a BC/Chow mix. Both are wonderful rescues and both have high Herding titles from the AHBA.
I prefer Aussies over BC's and I prefer Aussies with tails over tail-less ones.

I have an Aussie. She's 9 years old now. I've had her since a puppy and I got her at the animal shelter. She's the absolute most smartest dog I've ever seen. I think she understands English!
