My husband and I had a beach wedding. Go on-line. There are alot of companies that provide the minister and flowers, inexpensively. I love your ideas. Keep it simple and you'll be so much happier.

First of all you have to get permission to actually HAVE the wdding at the beach (or on the beach), you just can't go and set up a wedding. You didn't say WHEN you were planning on getting married but if you want it this year you can forget the wedding at the beach as it takes months to get the okay to have a wedding on the beach. Of course that also depends upon which state you live in.

My wife & I were camping at St Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach Florida for 2 weeks in the middle of May. While there, we witnessed at least two separate weddings held right there in the park at one of the large picnic shelters close to the beach.
The shelters are not very expensive to rent for the day.
One of the weddings had the whole ceremony right there on the beach. For the other one they had the entire wedding party out on the beach right at sunset for the wedding pictures.
It would probably be a fun thing to do.
Enjoy. :-)

why not..
just rent a priest, and do the ceremony at sunset (if on the west coast), I doubt you could get your friends to cruise out to the beach for a sunrise wedding...
you dont exactly need to bring lots of stuff for the ceremony...if you want it at the beach it sounds pretty lax to begin w/ so if people want to sit, have them bring some form of a chair, etc..

It's your wedding day...you can do anything you wanna do..I think it's an awesome idea..you can actually have your reception down at the beach too if you like..nothing wrong with that..just have finger foods, salads, desserts..etc..

get the proper permits from your city. most of the officiants you will hire have probably done beach weddings before, they will know how to help.
