Something that has more stipulations than just a bill of sale? If not a template, what kinds of stipulations should I have on there?

Used cars are sold "as is", so there aren't really stipulations to add. If your car title carries a brand, such as a salvage/rebuilt, you must disclose that info to the buyer. You could add that statement to your standard bill of sale. The most important thing I think is that you notify the DMV of the sale, promptly. Complete the notification of sale form, you need the buyer's name and address, just gather the info during the sale and add it to your bill of sale. This document will protect you if the buyer fails to transfer title and the car is used illegally, or something else goes wrong. Making a copy of both the bill of sale and the Notification of Sale, will ease your mind.
