Dogs have enzymes in their stomach that allow them to digest putrid meat. Your Yorkie was just being a dog. Ours not only eat mice this time of the year, they actively hunt & kill them this time of the year.
Chuckle, the yorkie was bred to kill rats & mice in mines & they are a very hearty breed. During the 19th century they were involved in gaming where the winner was the dog that could kill it's weight in rats the fastest.

My yorkie, Jackson, took a mouse out of my cats mouth! The poor cat had been trying to catch this mouse for 4 days and finally caught it, only to have Jackson take it away from him. Jackson did not eat the mouse because I was screaming bloody murder.LOL

He should be fine. Dogs and cats both get into stuff like that all the time. It's their wild hunting instinct, not necessarily that they are hungry.
The only concerns I would have is if the mouse was somehow poisoned, or if it had been dead for some time and become rotten, but the dog would probably just throw it up if that were the case. Just keep an eye on him, but don't worry too much.

No, he didn't do it because he was hungry, he did it because he's a yorkie, a dog bred specifically as a mouser. It won't harm him, however you don't want him doing it often as rodents can carry diseases. You may need to have the dog treated for worms, as it is possible that the rodent was infected.
If he has trouble using the bathroom later you may need to give him some oily foods to help grease the works, but he should be fine.

I would try to discourage this behavior whenever possible. As others have pointed out, not all frogs are safe for her to eat or pick up and depending on where you live some of them are very toxic and could potentially kill a small dog. You really don't have to worry about the bones in the mice, however mice and other rodents can carry a number of parasites that your dog could get from eating them (like tapeworms).

I also have a yorkie and although she has never eaten a mouse, she did kill one once. That was what they were bred for originally so it is just instinct. I would say it depends on how big yours is. Mine is very small at just under 4 lbs. so I would call the vet and ask their opinion.
Good Luck

My dog ate a bird and just ended up throwing up 20 min later. I think your dog's body will know if it needs to "expell" the mouse, otherwise just make sure he keeps eating and pooping regularly for the next week or so (if he doesnt it may mean there is something wrong in his intestine, so you should see a vet)

Why do our pets do this!!!LOL You should be fine, but he might get tape worms. You will know if this happens because you will see this in his stool and on and around his bottom!! Just if you are unsure or if he is asked wired the take him to the vet!!
