Well from what i know is that it is the end of the world in the Mayan calendar. Another very interesting thing is that Jewish people have found codes written in the torah that show December 21, 2012 being the day where Moshiach comes to save them. I'm actually looking and trying to figure out why this date is so interesting. But it is also the date where scientist believe the magnetic fields will flip. This will cause everyone to freeze to death if happened.
But i dont know looks like where gonna have to wait a see. But dont snooze or you'll loose.

I'm sure that right about dawn (and that varies depending on where you are) the sun will rise. If it is a relatively clear morning, you will be able to witness the giant golden orb as it tracks its way toward its apex. Following that monumental event, the sun will make it's way toward the horizon, where, as it approaches dusk (again, dependent upon where you are) will disappear from view.

Perhaps as you contemplate the glorious achievement that the sun made it from East to West in approximately 8-10 hours (in the Northern Hemisphere, between the 25th and 45th latitudes) you may notice a great deal of colorful lights that people tend to display that time of year commemorating industry and consumerism as is the tradition throughout most of the Western World.

I will probably be hunting.
There is nothing really special about that day. For the last 2000 years there have been 100s and 100s of "last days" predicted by certain groups of people. They are always wrong. Just like this time they will be wrong again. Whatever you do, dont start believing it, join some group of believers and drink the kool-aid in 2012. If the mayans could predict things with accuracy, why didnt they predict their own extinction?

the Mayan's were entrenched in satanism, so all their timeline prophecies are of satanic origin...the new world order and the anichrist will be set up in 2012!!!!!!!!!! The delusion is that WW3 and everything else chaotic going on will bring the world to the brink of destruction...in comes the saviour of the world, with 'jewish' credentials and a miracle working false prophet to make the world believe the messiah has returned! He will take a planet on the verge of destruction and usher in an era of peace...a psuedo-peace! Then the fascist world wide police state under his dominion will force everyone to be microchipped and do away with cash system!

I just visited a Mayan ruin site and museum and heard about what they believe...I think it is amazing and have been doing a lot of research on it!!! Pretty exciting stuff for those of us who believe that we are living in the end times =) And how about the fact they they predicted the viewing of planets alignment with 7 planets and now Pluto has been demoted from planet status so that leaves 7 plus earth from which we will be able to view the alignment? And we think we are getting smarter????? Wow, I LOVE this stuff =)

Ps to malak...there are still tribes of Mayans in Mexico and Cuba and Guatemala

Nothing much. End of the world? Give me a break. People have predicted that so many different days in the past 6000 years that it is silly even to consider it. About the only thing unusual that will happen is that a lot of superstitious and paranoid nuts will get together and waste their day waiting to die.

It's kind of like what people thought when it became 1-1-2000. Many people believed that would be the end of the world, but obviously that didn't happen. The end of the world has been predicted over and over by many religious and non religious people. Time and time again it has passed with nothing happening.
I believe that it will be just like any other day.

The sun will come up, the day will pass, the sun will go down and it will happen again the next day. People will do the same things they do everyday and continue the next day. The only significance of the date if the Mayan calendar stopped then. The only significance to that is they probably intended to continue it but their civilization crumbled.

The Winter Solstice

I predict that malls shall be full of customers performing last minute holiday shopping. Completely unaware that the end of the Mayan calendar system has passed and begun anew. We will most likely experience a few rather heavy solar flares, causing blackouts of electricity and cellular phones, but thats about it.

No end of the world. Just the end of a cycle and the start of another one.
