It can be done but would take a lot of effort to do so. Don't belief the myth that one cannot sneeze with their eyes open because it is just that, a myth. And your eyeballs would not pop up if you did.

Your eyes close automatically, just like breathing, or blinking its done without thinking.
Your eyes would not pop out of your head, thats a myth.

" During a sneeze, tremendous stress is placed on the body. Considerable air pressure is place upon the eyes. This pressure is not enough to pop your eyes out of your head or even make them bulge out, but enough to make your eyes feel uncomfortable from the added pressure."

When I sneeze when I am driving, I concentrate and keep my eyes open. It is possible, it just takes deliberate effort.

You're eyes wouldn't pop out! If the force was that great, do you really think the thin skin of the eyelid could keep them in????? Of course not. It's just an innate reaction, like taking your hand off something hot.

Closing your eyes when sneezing is one of the body's safety valves..When we sneeze, the force is so great (can't remember the mph) that if our eyes were'nt closed, they would pop from their sockets...
