My fiance & I are planning a May or Early June outside wedding and I was thinking that since his dad has passed we should have our wedding at the same location his parents did. We have decided to use his parents wedding bands as well, to keep his memory alive. Does it matter what type of dress I choose? Even if I choose a simple yet fancy, if that makes sense, wedding dress can my BM just wear simple dresses & if FH wears a tux ( a champagne one matches my dress) can the GM just wear khaki's & shirt? Should everyone stick with dresses/suits that match my dress? HELP please.

They should match you. But choose light colors and fabrics for gowns and suits. For the bridesmaids you can go with strapless tea length dresses to help keep them cool. The guys can remove their jackets after the ceremony and formal pictures have been taken. I was married outdoors in august and that is what we did. Good luck!

It is really your decision to make. Regardless of what style your dress is you can have your bridesmaids wear whatever you want them to wear and the same goes for the groomsmen. Either way whether casual or formal the attendants will look great. Just look at some different sites to see what is offered and you'll be able to choose better. This site has a lot of different styles for bridesmaid dresses. http://www.justthebeginning.com

you can do whatever pleases you and the groom. My hubby's best man didn't wear a suit coat because he had a broken wrist and we didn't want him to have to cut the sleeve just for our wedding. Whatever the 2 of you think is best is what you should have and don't worry what others think. By the way i think your ideas are just fine.

For an outside wedding, I'd wear something simple and made of light material.

Anything goes for an outside wedding. How bout' having an antique-period wedding; top hats and all. That would be cute. Or having a themed wedding, like hawaiian luau or mexican or something like that.

outside weddings can be as casual or formal as you want, just make sure everyone is on the same page as far as dress.

Your wedding is yours...make it YOURS :-)

I have DJ'd many weddings and each one is as unique as the couple. Free yourself from "shoulds" and do what pleases you and the groom!
