Dont buy this car, and if its your sell it for scrap, you might get $100-$200 dollars.
This car is only worth $500-$1500 when it is working.

not very much the trans will cost what the vehicle is worth. i work at a ford dealer, i would be very concerned about a contour that needs a transmission at 11000 miles. contours have a lot of issues but the trans and engine are not one of them, they will usually make 100,000 miles with no problems.

the price of the transmission is the actual resale value of a 1999 ford countour.. which then makes your car a freebie..
