I'm six feet tall. Last summer I was down to 145 and I was very skinny. I was also very active, too. When I got up to 155 last fall, I started to look better, and still didn't think I looked too bad at 165. I don't remember what I weighed when I became pregnant, maybe closer to 170. Now, I'm 23 weeks pregnant and weigh just over 180. Now, if i weren't pregnant and weighed 180, I would be concerned about my weight getting to high. It wasn't unitl last week that I outgrew all of my non-maternity clothes. Which, unfortunately, means I have to go shopping again. (I don't like shopping. Being tall and curvy and cheap and slightly picky can do that to somebody, Especially being tall and curvy.) Even now, I'm barely showing which just amazes some of my friends who are done having children. Today, I put on my maternity shorts and a golf shirt and I look pudgy, not pregnant. Even in my black maternity shirt, I look more pudgy than pregnant. Eh. I like looking pregnant.
Like I said, it's a good weight, thinish and curvy. It's the weight I'll try and go down to post-baby. (I am just not obsessing over my weight gain though, since it's for the baby and most of it is either baby or amniomic [sp?] fluid. Somewhere I just read the specifics of the breakdown of baby weight gain. Although I'm feeling guilty for not walking or working out much during the pregnancy even though I've only gained about 14 pounds.)
Anyway, I digress. Please don't compare yourself to the tall very skinny models. They look scary thin and now that I look at them I can't believe I looked that bad. No wonder my husband, mom and mother-in-law was worried about me.

No you are not overweight even at your heaviest you are still not overweight your BMI when you are 165 is 23. And you are considered overweight at a BMI above 25. So you are fine. If you really want to lose a few pounds than that is fine just don't over do it.

there isn't any "desirable" weight. do no longer obsess over your weight. BMI potential no longer something even with what others say. BMI is calculated by making use of height and weight and does not ingredient in bone density, fat or muscular tissues and incredibly everyone knows muscle weighs better than fat. i'm an identical height as a woman chum, yet she is a lot smaller-boned than me and extra frail. Myself on the different hand, would desire to snap her in one million/2 - I unquestionably have lots extra muscle than she would manage to ever get. look at your mom and dad and different kinfolk, it incredibly is a sturdy indication of what is going on. once you're a young person, do no longer complication in view which you're nevertheless starting to be and your physique continues to be changing.

It's perfectly fine. People are different. I have a friend who's buffer than me, but weighs less. I just happen to have denser and thicker bones.

A little overweight, depending on your build. American's are so fat they don't even recognize what "normal" is anymore.
