I have been badly mistreated in a Catholic school, as most children are. I now have no real religion, although Judaism may be a good choice for me. If I were to ask a Jewish man out, do you think he would say yes?

Let me rephrase the question for you?

So you go up to the Rabbi I would like to become a Jew.

And the Rabbi responds, "What brought you to that conclusion?"

And you say, "There is this guy I would like to date and he won't date me unless I convert...so what do I need to do first?"

And the Rabbis responds, "If you stop liking this guy, will you also stop liking Judaism?"

To which you respond.....

How you answer this question is the answer you are seeking.

The thing is, people aren't supposed to convert for external reasons. You either become Jewish because you love Judaism, or you remain an ethical gentile.
The rabbis of the Jewish Court give potential converts the third-degree, just to make sure they have the right motives.
Once you've proven your committment by becoming Jewish, of course, then any Jewish man would be able to date you.

Nope- AFTER a woman has converted, an observant Orthodox Jew will date a Jewish girl. Before that time- an observant Jew will not date somebody as there is always the possibility that the person will stop and not complete the conversion.

I would be willing to date her after she converted or if she was very late in the process.

I would fear that any relationship would give her an outside pressure to covert.

I personally believe if one is going to convert from one religion to another they should do it because they want to. Not because of pressure from a spouse or boy friend.
