I find most followers of religion, know just enough to be self-righteous. They're so convinced of their salvation, they forget the paths to attain it.

Well first of all, you are not wrong to bring these sins to light. Oh, by the way, not all of these things are truly sins.... divorce may or may not be. If your spouse divorced you without cause, you did not sin. If bankruptcy was not due to your willful walking out on justly due bills, you did not sin. Being homosexual is not a sin, but acting on it is. Any sexual activity outside of a marriage covenant is sinful.
Sin is usually a willful act of disobedience.
We are all supposed to be watchful, and if we see another Christian falling into sin (any of them), we are supposed to warn them. We are supposed to do this out of Love, not to pick on them.
When done properly, both the "warn-er" and the "warn-ee" are blessed.
We are also supposed to be careful of ourselves, too. We are supposed to be knowledgeable enough to know what we can and cannot do. But, being human and imperfect, we do sometimes get tempted, and succumb to the temptation. That is when our "bretheren" are supposed to lift us up.
We are not to use these definitions of sin to cause harm to non-believers, however, they may be used to educate them. For example, if you were a non-believer, and you did something I would call a sin, I don't really even have to mention it to you.
I might strike up a conversation to see if you have already heard the Gospel. If you had, and claim to be Christian, then I would ask about the sinful thing.
If you had not, I would ask if you are interested to know, and respond accordingly. If your answer were "No", we would move on to some other topic.
Eventually, we may meet again, but I am not going to bother you each and every time. I might just wait until you ask me a question.
That is how things are suppose to run, anyways.......

You are not wrong. ANY sin is enough to keep a person out of heaven. From the smallest to the biggest, they are all sins and must be turned away from.
The justification that many people use is that they are not really a sin. That is where the study of the Bible comes in handy. Man tries to ignore or twist the Bible to justify his sins.

You admit to going 40 5 in a 40 so which you have no longer any protection He does not could tutor his overhead lighting fixtures furnishings on, they're activated to pass site visitors in an emergency He can provide you a citation on your mothers driveway. you may tell the choose something you desire, state your case, the city legal professional will state the officers case. Whoever the choose believes will win. you may ask for a jury trial in case you desire, then you definately could convince 6 or 8 or 12 human beings.

I, for one, do not make excuses for other sins. The Bible tells us that all sins are equal in the eyes of God, and it also tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. However, that does not mean we are never to address sin, whether in ourselves or in others. We are to do so in love, not in judgment, so that the person who is sinning might be led to repent of those sins and become a better person. We also have to be aware that God may be working in someone, even though there may be sin in their lives. Being harsh or judgmental may interfere with what God is doing.
We all need to examine our lives daily, repent of our sins, and be in the Word to try to become better people.

The Bible says that the wages of sin is death. That means any and all sin. But God loves everyone so much that he didn't want to do that, so he paid the sin penalty for us by dying on the cross. So all you have to do is acknowledge that he paid it, and accept that he paid it. Then, no matter what sin you have committed, or will committ is forgiven and already paid for and you get to go to heaven. Isn't that awesome!

well all people sin. but when i do, i pray over it and try not to let it keep happening. i work at trying not to. but it doesn`t seem to me that homosexuals repent for their sin. they argue that they should have equal rights and be allowed to marry . that doesnt seem like repentance to me. and i think that most look down more on homosexuality because god did not just call it a sin, he called it an abomination. but anyway you look at it, sin is sin. the important thing is what you do about it.

GC, i got your back on this one man, calling a sin a sin is not judging.
If i see someone shoot someone else in the face and they die, I am not judging the shooter if i call them a murderer.
