Oh boy ... if it is bad it will last 2 weeks. If I were you, I'd go around the house with the anti-poison ivy cream/cleanser and wipe any door knobs, metal surfaces, etc. that you touched because if it is poison ivy, you probably touched it with your hands and spread the oil. (It is an over-the-counter product - ask your drug store pharmacist to point out a good one). Then when you touched contaminated things and touch your body again, you spread it.

I had it SO bad last summer all over my body and the thing is, you don't know you have it until about 3 hours after-the-fact, so by then you've already possibly spread it all over your body and your house.

If it starts to bubble up with gooey-sticky clear fluid inside of it then it probably is poison ivy, and contrary to popular belief, you can't spread it by scratching after you've showered well, etc. so don't worry about that. (The fluid inside of the little bubble sores is your body's reaction to the ivy, not the ivy poison). But the main thing is to wash your body good, wash your clothes and clean all surfaces you may have touched.

Hope you don't have it but if you do, I hope my words help. :-)

You need to get some Benadryl creme or calamine lotion for it. One time I had a small, dime-sized patch of poison ivy. I decided to do nothing to it to see how long it took to go away by itself. It took three months!

usually a few days - the best thing to do is get benedrill cream and rub it on, or any kind of poision ivy cream... if it becomes a serious problem then definitely a doctor, primary care doc, or dermatologist/allergist!
