Genesis 2 shows how man was created in the image of God
Man was formed for the dust (flesh) God the breathed in life(spirit) and these became a living soul. Man was made different than the animals in God's image more than one part(flesh) but also having an eternal spirit. Which is the image of God being Father Son and Holy Spirit and these being one God.

Actually being made from dirt originated with the Sumerian Gods.
Israel used to have two Gods. The High God, Jehova and his consort (Who I can't remember the name of at the moment). Sometime in there the Jews downsized, moved Jehova to God and got rid of every thing else. So it probably did mean Gods.
What I find the funniest about the Christian faith period is that they refuse to see thier faith is a meld of Pagan beliefs and traditions and then say we(Pagans) are evil. We sort of had it all first.

Some of my favorites were already mentioned but then you've got when God told Adam if he ate the forbidden fruit he would die that same day and then Adam lives for 900 years. And then as far as we know at this point in time Adam, Eve and their kids are the only people but when Cain kills Able(or vice versa I can't remember who kills who) he goes somewhere else to some other people and finds a wife but there's no mention of any other people being created.

My favorite bit is when Adam and God go around looking at all the animals trying to find a mate for Adam. Stumped, God finally decides that elephants and alligators just will not do, so he puts Adam into a sleep and magicked a HUMAN chick for him.

I find the fact that someone created a museum in Kentucky ( I think it's Kentucky) that gives a 6 day timeline, asserts that the world is 6000 years old, and that dinosaurs and humans lived at the same time hilarious.

That the first creation story wasn't good enough so they put the revised version in, but forgot to take out the original.

in the beginning was the word, and the word was....God...so effectively, is God but the syllables of pronunciation, or is God capable of being more than one, within himself...as if my right hand is me, but i am not my right hand, i am much more than just my hand...thus related to God, whom we are not capable of understanding, would not be that hard to understand in precept, its just the concept of what God truely is that we cannot know.....
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all but One, yet, they are three
so effectively speaking, if mankind was created in the image of God, we would be three as well, as in, the body, the spirit, and the soul......
but what i find funny is this, when Adam was in the Garden of Eden, was he immortal...God told him that if he eats of the tree of life, that he would die, so, before he ate, Adam would not have died, so yes, Adam was an immortal being....

The funniest is "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" because it always brings a tickle to my stomach when people doubt such a magnificent God. Don't you think that's funny??? HAHAHAHAH!!!!!

- Two words that are said the same, but have different meanings in different languages are not unheard of.
Ask any linguist and they'll have numerous examples for you.
- In Amaric (which is an Ethiopian language)
"Mihn tis serra le"
- Every one of these words is a word in a different language said and pronounced just the same, but guess what? they have different meanings than in the other languages.
- Please look it up.

I guess I have to go with how people think the choice of eating the forbidden fruit proves they have free will when the bible doesn't expressly say they do. Yet it does say (throughout) that their lives are predestined by god. But somehow, they still think they have free will and it all goes back to genesis.
