I know someone who was also addicted to masturbation. Unf. he was my ex-husband. Notice I said ex. He had to do several times a day. I think anyone who has this addiction should seek therapy. I believe that is the only thing that could be helpful.

I was 12 when I first masturbated and have been doing it for 20 years now. This might sound silly but I call myself a private professional masturbater. If someone said they havent done it at least once I most likely say their not telling the truth. People can say its an addiction but I look at it as a form of self expression. Here is the thing though. If someone does masterbate they have every right to do so. Even when I had a girlfriend and having sex all the time I still masturbated. I consider masterbation a personal and private matter. If someone does masterbate what is it of my concern. If a person (the individual) views it as a problem in their own lives then they should seek therapy. Am I CRAZY? I dont think so and that is the only thing that matters to me. Thanks for the question and letting me share my opinion.

I had not heard that it could be addictive. I thought people did that until they were satiated and then could not go on. It seems to be harmless according to medical authorities. I have even heard that having a free flow from "the twins" is important to health. Time will take care of it, he will be doing it a lot less in 10 years, and a lot less than that in 20 years.

You have failed to define exactly how his masturbatory habits qualify as a problem. Who said he is addicted? You mean a teenage boys masturbates alot? Ooh, someone call the National Enquirer.

Your "friend" is normal and not crazy..most 17 year olds are out getting the real thing- along with stds and pregnancy... if i was your doctor i would tell you to stick your thing in any pie you see- its better then catching herpes or children!

Let him whack it until its not fun anymore he'll learn on his own. There aint nothing wrong with what he is doing, reproduction is our only REAL purpose for living so he is just practicing for when it becomes important.

I'm a girl and I masturbate all the time. When else does anyone get it off unless they get drunk first.

It's just adolescence, nothing else. The fascination will wane eventually.
