I had a very vivid dream one night that I was in this old house. It was almost Victorian, and off into the woods, miles away from anybody. This raven (yes a bird) was talking to me, as if something right from Edgar Alan Poe. This bird told me my grandmother was going to die the next day. In the dream I believed it, as if it were undeniable truth. When I woke up I didn't think much of it, just a dream I said to myself. I came home from school the next day to see my mother crying, "your grand mother has died" she said. I was speechless, I couldn't even bring myself to tell her of my dream. I in some weird way had almost felt responsible for the death, as if I saw it coming and did nothing to prevent it.
Not more than a year later I find myself in that same dream, in that same Victorian house, out in no where. The raven is there again, everything is identical, but this time the raven says to me "Your father dies tomorrow." I again woke up, this time terrified of the dream. It was ridiculous that such a thing would happen twice, surely it couldn't. I said to my father before he left for work "be careful." He looked at me oddly, but took the advice with a "thanks." later that evening I come home from school, relieved to see my father safe and at home. He had a bad day, one of the worst of his life, but I knew how lucky he was. As he was ranting about his atrocious day my mother said to him "You think your day was bad? The milk man dropped dead this morning."
My adaptation of one of my favorite stories from "Big Fish." I highly recommend the film. I hoped it put a smile on your face and at least momentarily eased your worrying. I'm sure your dad will be fine, let me know how the milk man does : )

Some 40+ years ago, my grandmother died in the early hours of the morning, and as my cousin had helped to nurse her, I went on my scooter at 4 in the morning the 5 mile journey to let her know. Remember, few people had telephones in our area, but my cousin had a cup of coffe waiting for me!! she had dreamt the death and that I was on my way! Not only that, but my cousin lived out in the countryside away from passers by, and she asked if I would go and let another member of the family know of the death. This particular member of the family, my Gran did not like, imagine my surprise when I went to get on my scooter and had 2 flat tyres. The valve caps had not been touched, and the tyres blew up later with no punctures. I believe there is something there. Another case, was our local vicar, he had taught his son morse code, later in life, his son was in the army in a war zone, in the far East. one night the vicar heard a tapping noise on the window, initially thinking it was a tree branch, took no notice of it. He then recognised the morse code "Dad I am dead - Dad I am Dead---". The following morning the vicar received the then familiar "Black Edged Telegram" - Who knows how it is possible, I don't.

It's possible that it could be coincidence. Of all the things we dream, some of it is bound to come true at some point, because we dream about our ordinary lives a lot of the time.
On the other hand, you could have had an intuition about your father's condition. Perhaps you subconsciously sensed that something was wrong with him, and this came out in your dream.

10 years before it happened, I dreamed that my mom died just the same way that she did. I had wrote her a letter about that dream and dated it and its ironic 10yrs later it happened. Same thing happened with an aunt last year I dreamed of her death the night she passed of a massive heart attack 38 yrs old!! My great grandfather visited me in my dream when I was 7 to tell me he was leaving us. That morning I heard mom crying and I already knew but He told me he was ok and so I was not sad.

Occurrences like this are not a mistake but it is God speaking to you to prepare you for certain events to come in your life. The Lord showed me my mother was going to pass away, 6 months before she died. My sister had a certain dream that my mother would be found dead in a certain position. And, we found her exactly how my sister said she saw it. But during the time, of my mother's last days, I would walk to her house and I felt the Presence of death and she became very ill. But while waiting for her to pass, I learned how to prepare myself. So, when she did die, I was ready and prepared.

I dreamt that my grandmother died. Many people say that if someone dreamt that someone will die, maybe it means that they will live longer.
I hope it helped :D
