Luke, Chapter four of the Qu'ran is refering to the people of the book right or wrong here is the context of whioch Allah was speaking

153. The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us Allah in public," but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority.

154. And for their covenant we raised over them (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai); and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in the matter of the sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant.

155. (They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah. that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah.s Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;-

156. That they rejected Faith; that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge;

157. That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Yep. Jews believe that Jesus wasn't their messiah. Their Messiah has yet to come. The Qur'an is wrong... what a shocker!

That quote is basically stumbled on interior the Qur'an, no longer the bible. The jewish human beings don't think that they killed the Messiah, for the precise same reason you mentioned. they're nevertheless waiting for his or her Messiah, so a approaches as they're worried Jesus Christ became no longer the Messiah. If the Qur'an states that, i won't clarify why. and not for one 2d as a Christian, became I taught that Muslims killed Jesus. i became no longer additionally ever taught explicitly that Jews killed Jesus the two, i understand now it became suggested interior the Bible, even though it became by no potential something we centred on. i do no longer think of which race did it, incredibly mattered, basically that it befell. Wow, I unquestionably have been rather blessed and knowledgeable right this moment, i did no longer even understand that this quote became interior the Qur'an, and that some have self belief it could have been an blunders making use of the word "Messiah", besides the indisputable fact that it became out of admire. I unquestionably have discovered .. thank you

Okay, let's not dump all peoples of a certain heritage and/or religious orientation into such broad groups when referring to things believe or not believed 2000 plus years ago. Some Jews thought Jesus was a prophet. Some thought He was from the devil, I am quite sure. Some thought He was the Messiah, and converted from Judaism to Christianity. Some thought He should not be killed. Some did not care one way or the other. Some lied about Him. Some were truthful. There is no such thing as one belief for everyone. Life and human thought are full of nuances. If Allah, as you call Him, is your word for God, then Allah was not wrong, but mere men, as usual, interpret, invent, observe, and record with flaws. No two people ever see the same thing exactly the same. That IS a fact.

There were some who had hard hearts and did not believe and still yet others who did believe:

We see both in the following:

While Pilate (roman leader of the people) appeared too come to believe:

He put above Christ on the cross "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS"

The chief jewish priests (hard hearted folks) were like "don't write that. Put that he SAID I am King of the Jews."

But Pilate was like "no, people, this is what wrote...that he is the King"

In Mark 15:39, the centurion, which stood over against him said after Christ gave up the ghost on the cross said, "Truly this man was the Son of God."

Many jews came to Christ during his ministry...but still may did not.

The first Christians were Jews, they were the Jews who followed Jesus.

& Messiah only means annointed one. What about those who turned against him, knowing who he was?

The Jews didn't kill Jesus, THE ROMANS DID.

(1) If the Jews would have killed Jesus, he would have died "stoned", crucifixion was a "Roman" way of execution, NOT a Jewish one.

(2) Romans were the "authority", if they would have considered Jesus an Innocent man, they had the authority to stop the execution, and THEY DIDN'T.

Do you actually think that "Allah" is not wise enough to know that??

You are NOT preaching to ILLITERATES.

The Romans, not the Jews if i remember correctly said that. At east one of the Romans believed that he killed the Son of God.

TO RAY:
I would like to know what messianic prophecies Jesus didn't fulfill?

Jews do not think Jesus was anything but a Heretic

2007-06-08 06:52:07 · answer #9 · answered by Quantrill 7 · 2 0

according to juism (and common sense) he was not the "son of god" nor the "messiah".

Allah, also (according to common sense), as a fictitional character, never could have said that or "would you like fries with that".

leave fiction in the fiction section.
