Starving is not the way to go if you are trying to loose weight. You only starve yourself if you want to die.

a pound is equal to 3500 calories and an average person burns 2000 calories a day. so with no calories coming in, you would have a deficit of 10,000 calories for 5 days (2,000 *5). which would be about 3 pounds. however those three pounds would be muscle lost, not fat. that's why starving yourself is the worst thing you can do when you want to lose weight, your body will hold onto the fat. then when you finally eat something you will end up over eating and gain even more weight. there is no easy fix to losing weight, you didn't gain it overnight either. you have to change your lifestyle. eat right and exercise.

After my fiance broke up with me, I did not get very hungry for a while, and it made me sick to eat very much at all. I probably took in about 500 calories a day, and I worked out, and lost about 10-12 lbs in a little over a week. The weight stayed off for a few months until I stopped working out regularly. Running is the key to losing weight!!!

It's a common misconception that eating fruit is really good for you. It's not(except berries). It has a lot of sugar in it (albeit natural sugar). If you want to lose weight easily, and fast, I would suggest the Atkins diet. In two weeks, I lost 17 pounds. Over the course of five months, (with occasional cheating) I've lost 40 pounds. The diet is carb control based. Basically you eat a lot of meat, fish, fowl and dairy products for the first two weeks. Later on you can add things like vegetables, berries, and whole wheat products. Trust me. IT works.

Well you will lose weight, but not fat! you will lose muscle if you starve yourself.Your skin can become very dry, blood sugar level will be off, your hair can thin out and you would probably feel like crap!If you are going to be doing liquid replacement or fasting you need to make sure you still have the nutrients and vitamins as well as plenty of water. Chances are you will still feel like crap!! This is not a good way to lose weight(fat). I would definitly look into something else.

It doesn't matter. As soon as you put food in your mouth on the 6th day, you'll gain it all back.

Not only is that unhealthy, it tricks your body into thinking that it won't be getting fuel on a regular basis, so that anything you eat will be converted to fat in order to store it up for the next time you decide to starve yourself. You will throw your metabolism way out of whack.

A couple of pounds, but it'll all come back as soon as you drink a glass of water or eat anything at all. Doing such things will also screw up your metabolism so it'll be harder to lose if you ever want to do it the proper way.

It's idiotic to starve yourself.

I dont know, but you'll screw up your metabolism because your body will sense you are starving and slow down your metabolism to accomodate it. It will start to burn fat stores for energy. You will be exhausted and have no energy to function, become dehydrated, maybe end up in the hospital and not to mention be obsessed with hunger. Then when you start eating and re-hydrate yourself and find you probably didnt lose anything because your body reacted to the starvation process and it is hard to increase metabolism once you slow it down!

You will lose anywhere between 5 to 10 pounds.... but as soon as you start eating again you will gain 15 to 20.... your body has its own natural instinct... it will store the foods next time you eat because it will think it has to for fear that you will not give it vitamins and nutrient's again.... i would just eat nothing but fruit and plenty of water for 5 days....... its better for you and your body wont go into shut down mode....
