I use to be so afraid like you are, but when I has Jesus in my life the whole fear was gone. To know that someday you will have eternal happiness is the most peaceful feeling! Being a christian and loving Jesus is the best way to not fear Death!!!

Not all the time. Only when a life threatening ordeal is happening. If you are always in fear of death, then you can never truly live. Hiding from everything is not living in my opinion. Honostly man, don't fear it and go out and have a good time. Don't let the fear hold you back. Have a good day.

I don't fear death but I don't want to die. If you are having that level of fear, you should seek profesisonal counseling. There should be a root cause of the fear that a qualified mental health professional can identify and then help you work toward resolving.

If your insurance does not cover counseling, call the State operator and ask to be connect to the mental health center. Those are generally on an ability- to-pay basis.

When you are secure regarding your place in eternity, there is no longer a reason to fear death. Death is merely the gateway to an eternity in paradise for Christians.

If a death phobia is interfering with your ability to sleep, however, I really encourage you to seek psychiatric treatment. There are medications (and psychotherapy) which can assist you in conquering this symptom.

In the meantime, consider diphenhydramine (generic benedryl). You'll find it in the allergy section of your local pharmacy. Benedryl is safe, inexpensive, non-addictive, and quite effective for the short term management of insomnia.

Best of luck,
~M~

Are you feeling guilty about something? After death, there's only heaven or hell. If your afraid of death because you're not going to heaven, do not fear because we have a merciful God, that loves us so much that He gave His only son to die for our sins, don't let that go to waste. Ask God to forgive you in the name of His son, Jesus Christ, mean it, be sincere and you'll see that a warm feeling will come over you. Those who go thru His son will inherit the kingdom of God. We are sinners and God recognizes that, that we will fall into temptation but as long as He sees your effort and faithfulness to Him, He'll keep showing you his mercy, also know that God rewards those who turn their backs on temptation and remember, God makes no mistakes.

NO, but then I've already been through it once and was brought back so I don't see there is ANYTHING to fear about death.

It's just the Churches that hammer about being afraid of dying... going to Hell or seeing GOD or GEEZUS or whatever... and the CHURCHES use the fear of death to control the masses.... and it's all bull... it's just smoke and mirrors.

I don't fear death, but what I do fear is the fact I will not be alive to experience all the new things that occur.

It isn't so much that I fear death because it is simply the logical conclusion to life. What I fear is the possible pain when it happens.

Not anymore. I used to be very scared, but then one day I realized I do not need to be afraid. I am living each day as it could be my last, enjoy my life to the best of my ability. Today I am happy, healthy, I have a loving family and friends, some money, roof over my head. So try to forget those thoughts- instead, concentrate on what you would like truly to be and what you would like to do, maybe voluteer work in hospital. Maybe prayer will help you, maybe yoga and meditation (they all helped me). Talk to people, maybe you will need to see a counsellor, priest.., and why not, they are there to help us. Courage and blessings to you my friend.
