IMAO could be a typo for LMAO (laughing my a** off) or IMHO (im my humble opinion), however, I did a quick wikipedia search and it said IMAO is "in my arrogant opinion."
It would be a little more helpful if I knew what context it was used in and by whom... If it was some wiseass, then the wiki definition sure fits. ;)
