That's funny! But you'd get skewed results, because I'm a Hindu but I would buy Dawkins' books (if I had more money). I have a couple of books by Atheist authors.

Probably not, I've been an atheist since I was 14, but didn't learn about Dawkin's book until I was 31. If you tried to track that way, the if I were to by the book today, it would appear that there's one more atheist, but in reality I was already there.

Interestingly it has been reported that vast numbers of Christians bought Dawkins book. It's a bit like the Da Vinci Code in that regard. Except Dawkins book isn't fiction.

I'm an atheist and never read Dawkins books.

I don't want to put down religion, and wouldn't ever try to convince someone toward atheism, but there isn't one religion that makes the slightest bit of sense to me.

I've bought several good books this year, but I won't be getting "The God Delusion" until it comes out in paperback.

Apologies to Dawkins, but the only author I buy in hardcover is Haruki Murakami. Maybe Thomas Pynchon.

Nope. A lot of freethinkers don't care for Dawkins' confrontational style, so they don't buy his books. I, however, think his approach is completely appropriate and justified.

I doubt it. Many atheists have made their decision to be atheist and seldom look for religious or anti-religious material of any kind. I think only the more militant ones would buy that book.

I think it is wise for people to buy books from atheist authors as well as authors from all religious faiths. How can people understand each other if they don't understand what others think?

Yaaargh! Why do all Christians assume that atheists worship Richard Dawkins, are you that stupid?
