That would be a safe assumption. However, do not rely on it. Go ahead and continue with the tests to verify and confirm that it really is kidneys stones and not a more dangerous condition.

Definitely sounds like kidney stones. I get them a lot and have had the stomach and back pain with it but no vomiting. I have ovarian cysts and I don't get any pain since I started taking vitamin E, the only pain I ever had with my cysts was stomach ache. Drink lemonade and cranberry juice to prevent stones and UTI's that can lead to stones. Also drink water that's the most important thing. Avoid alcohol, caffeine products and salt and don't have too much dairy. Good Luck!
It is NOT true that beer helps pass them easier. My dad was told to drink beer by some stupid doctor and the stones didn't go on their own. Alcohol makes it worse. I know from experience. I have bladder problems so I know a lot about UTI's and stones etc.

That's what they were. Sometimes kidney stones are like the consistency of sand. They get clogged up in your ureters, but once they pass your pain should be alleviated.
Your ureters are only 1-2.5 mm wide so the small stones still can cause a lot of pain.

If that's true (they're kidney stones), you really lucked out. Take them to your doctor and find out more. By the way, drinking lemonade or water with lemon juice will help prevent the formation of more kidney stones in the future.

Yes they are stones.
This site will give you more info.

The pain is caused by the stones travelling from the kidney to the outside world.
Amazing how something so small can cause so much pain.
Hope you are feeling better soon

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
