I know that it's true that I believe what I do. I can't say that anyone else does as I'm non-denominational. I don't "blindly" follow any doctrine as the implication that people do seems to infer that they do so in the first place and are somehow "not going about it in the right way". I have studied the scriptures extensively over 25 years, but they must also be understood in terms of the people to whom they were delivered and their culture (the Jews), and how to understand alot of the symbolism and metaphors that were common idioms in that time.

Also, I've been convicted. Felony 2 (Assault on a police officer) Just not the conviction you speak of. I'm still waiting for it.

I am convinced in my convictions and yes I know both God and his word......The Apostle Paul commended the "Noble Bereans" for checking the scriptures daily to contrast Paul's teaching against them....It is easy to be carried away by every wind of doctrine if you do not study and pray....especially in this day and age.

yes, i feel the conviction of what i believe, most of my beliefs i have always felt, since a small child, during my early adult years, i questioned , analyzed, and came full circle back to my beliefs, my religion is the same as my denomination i now belong to, and no, its not my parents or others in my family,
since youth i felt strongly about a number of things, that Jesus loves us, that he felt love was most important, that there must be many paths to God and spirituality, just as there are many types of people, that we should take what we are given and do the best we can,,,, that racism and violence are wrong. so i never questioned that Jesus could accept all people, whether they believed in him or not, i never questioned that violence (hitting) is wrong, i never questioned that hitting children is wrong, even if you call it spanking, it took me awhile to find a religion, Unitarian Universalist, where my beliefs were acceptable,

Yes, I am convicted IN my beliefs.

I used to pray, but he never guided me, spoke to me, presented himself in any way, or answered any of my prayers. So I stopped.

I tried that whole "suspended disbelief" thing up until I turned 13. Then I was smart enough to realize that I don't actually believe it.

I will never "simply" follow blindly. If I did that, you could just take "recovering" off of my name.

Well, my "denomination" is Agnostic, and that's a pretty broad spectrum so.... um... technically yes.

last question... ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

I don't blindly follow the leaders in my church, and I'm sure that some of the stuff I believe, the others don't, but I do study the Bible in detail, and I also study apologetics, theology and doctrine, evangelism, etc... I believe in what the Bible teaches, not a person or group of people.

I know my religion is true. I don't think, I know it's true. My parents happened to be Christian too, but that's just a coincidence (we're 33% of the world's population).
