a word ; good in American slang , bad in British slang .& vice versa .?

Some people in the Arabic world , told me that they can't use some words in some parts of the Arab world .

In America a "fanny pack" is a bag worn like a belt. in UK it means a feminine hygiend item. In UK a "fag" is a cigarette, and an impolite reference to a gay male in America.

Fag is ok in English (means a cigarette) and not Ok in the US.

Fanny is fine in the US but not so much in the UK where it's a rude word for vagina

Citizen High, sorry for misleading you people, I got it mixed up. "John" is the AMERICAN slang for the men's toilet, and not BRITISH. Sorry.

The British slang for toilet is "loo."

Well, "fags" are smokes in the UK, for one. We don't refer to a girl here as a "lass" (Lassy) as they do in Scotland. I'm sure there's plenty more
