U.S. Bible-based museum drop 'Adam' video after actor's risque past revealed

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A man who plays Adam in a video aired at a Bible-based creationist museum in Kentucky has led a different life outside the Garden of Eden, flaunting his sexual exploits online and modelling for a clothing line that promotes free love.

After learning about his activities Thursday, the Creation Museum pulled the 40-second video in which he appears.

"We are currently investigating the veracity of these serious claims of his participation in projects that don't align with the biblical standards and moral code upon which the ministry was founded," Answers for Genesis spokesman Mark Looy said in a written statement.

The actor, Eric Linden, owns a graphic website called Bedroom Acrobat, where he has been pictured, smiling alongside a drag queen, in a T-shirt brandishing the site's sexually suggestive logo. The website, which has a network of members, allows users to post explicit stories and photos.

He also sells clothing for SFX International, whose initials appear on clothing to spell "SEX" from afar. It promotes "free love," "pleasure" and "thrillz."

Linden, a graphic designer, model and actor who grew up in Columbus, said he is no longer affiliated with the Bedroom Acrobat site and had handed the domain name off to somebody. Ownership records available through the NetworkSolutions database show Linden registered the site 18 months ago.

He also said he no longer posts to the site.

Linden said he is very proud to play Adam.

"But just because I'm Adam on the screen, that doesn't mean I'm Adam off the screen," he said.

"What I do shouldn't have anything to do with who they think Adam is."

The clip he appears in is one of 55 featured on tours of the museum, near Cincinnati in Petersburg, Ky. The museum tells the Bible's version of Earth's history - the planet was created in a single week just a few thousand years ago.

The museum pulled the clip after learning about his online activities.

Linden, who now lives in Los Angeles, said his modelling work for the clothing line is just one of the many jobs that make up his career. He said he has great respect for the founders of the Creation Museum and their vision.

"For the Creation Museum, I did what I did as an actor. It doesn't necessarily mean I believe in evolution or a believe in creation," Linden said.

"I'm hired to get a point across. On the flip side, if I was hired to play a murderer, that doesn't mean I'd go out and kill somebody."

"It's make-believe."

Are they investigating the background of every person, with every company that they do business with? Give me a break? What about their UPS guy? Their copier repairman? Their janitor? How about the guy that repairs their air conditioiner? The guy that installed their carpeting? Where does it end?

Live and let live...

I'm still reeling from the "creation museum" - does anybody else see the massive contradiction in terms and concept here? Museums are supposed to have fact, with displays of real artifacts, fossils, and the like... not make believe videos and panaroma scenes from an old mythological book.

You know what, if they can do this, we can open a museum dedicated to the Norse gods... that's actually not a half bad idea as that mythology is very enjoyable.

Wow. An actor who plays a different kind of person onscreen then he is offscreen. That is original...

An actor who has a secret sex life. That is original....

Here is a site that has videos that often attract children and teens. When they discover there might be an issue with one of them, they pull it. That is suppose to be a bad thing?

Isn't the main complain against the Catholic church that when there was evidence of sex problems, they did nothing about it. But when this group immediately jumps on it, that is also wrong? Which way do you want?

I guess I am missing your point...

The people who made the "Creation Museum" are not exactly renowned for their research skills. Maybe they just "believed" that he lived up to their "moral standards".

At first, I wondered why we would care what this guy had done. Then the article mentioned the museum. Now we know your motive.
