I am a 20 yr old female and I have a really good desk job...however, the price I pay is that my feet and ankles and calves get really swollen! I am a small woman and I work out to look good, but my legs and feet get huge from sitting at my desk. What can I do, other than drink water because I drink a lot already, to stop or slow the swelling and get rid of it now that it's here? Please tell me it's not here to stay!!

You need to make an appointmet to see your doctor at a time of day when your legs are likely to be at their most swollen so that the doctor sees, in person, how swollen they get. You are way too young to be having such circulatory problems. If they are truly as bad as you say, you have a physical problem that should be medically cared for as soon as possible. If it only seems to be as bad as you say because they are your legs, try flexing the muscles in your feet and leg throughout the day and standing up for a few stretches as often as you can.

I highly recommend that you soak your feet and legs in a milk bath and drop a tea bag in the tub. The tea can be chamomile tea or mint if you don't like chamomile. Then Rub just a little honey on your feet and legs. Put sweats and socks on so your body can soak it in. After 25min. then hope in the shower to wash it off. Do this routine 3times in a week and your legs and feet will feel all better and softer.

i think it's positional edema which means it's caused by long sitting on the chair which may lead to lymphatic and venous flow partial obstruction and this will lead to immigration of fluids out of vessels to the subcutaneous space.
Don't stay so long on your desk and when u go home lay down and put your feet raised on a bad

swelling can be helped with lowering your salt intake, maybe an otc diuretic, it can also be the sign of the onset of diabetes, or it could also be a side effect of a hormone problem.......among about a million other things

reduce your salt intake and urinate more frequently. Don't munch, candy bars, potato chips or pretzels while you are at your desk.
