No, they don't hurt. Your doctor measures your eye looking at it through one of his tools, then he'll know which size of contact you need and fit you with the right one and the right kind.

Well, I don't have astigmatism, but I do wear acuvue advance with hydroclear and they're by far the most comfortable contacts. I've tried several different brands because my eyes dry up easily and this kind feels perfect. My mom has astigmastism and she is trying to wear contacts too. She says you have to get used to them because of her astigmatism. I guess it's a little harder to focus your eyes with this problem but if you give it a month or two of wearing them, I know you'll stop noticing them in your eyes. But if you don't have astigmatism, you'll love these contacts from the second you put them it! I never notice them in my eyes!

Your eye doctor will decide what contacts are the best for you so don't worry about what brands or anything. They do have contacts for astigmatisms...they may cost a little more, but they are well worth it. Learning how to put in the contacts, and take them out it may be a little scary, and not very comfortable but if you follow your eye doctors directions, and stick with it eventually you will get used to it!

Contacts are great, I have had them for 3 years. I love mine. My mom has an astigmatism, and she has contacts. They dont hurt at all. But, they do take some getting used to. It took me about a week to get used to putting them in, but now I can do it without a mirror.

Depending on severe your astigmatism is, regular lenses may not fit you properly. You may have to go to a toric lens, which is more expensive. Your eye doctor will know.

I have moderate astigmatism in both eyes, but it's worse in my left eye. I haven't been to my eye doctor in about 3 years now and I can tell that my left eye is getting a little worse. My lens doesn't seem to fit right anymore so it's causing me some discomfort.

Properly-fitting lenses do not hurt your eyes. Poorly-fitted lenses definitely do.

No they dont hurt. At first it may take you a long time to get them in your eyes cause you arent used to it. But when you get used to it it took me only 5 minutes to get my lenses in. You dont feel them once they are in (kinda like when you have a tampon on correctly you dont feel it).
They are made out of thin plastic so you dont notice it at all. Much better than glasses!

no not at all, i have had mine for 5 years and they are just scarry to put in and take out for the first few times. If you clean them, don't rub your eyes too much and take them out when you start to feel them become dry, usually late at night, then you'll have no irritation.

I dont think they hurt but your eye can become bothersome if they are not right for you. You should always talk to your doctor about stuff like that.
