Isn't anyone else irritated by the fact that almost none of the questions in the hunting section are about hunting, but rather guns?

I would tend to agree with you on this one. I came on here to talk hunting and found I was talking guns, which I enjoy just as much, but it overrides hunting somewhat.

I think there should be a section for Firearms/Shooting along side Hunting. It's better for Hunting because the # of questions about guns tends to drown out Hunting, which is the existant section. There should also be an area for paintball/bb/pellet guns in addition to the new one about firearms.

Thank you for posting this question. I have always thought that there should be a category for guns. With the abundance of firearm questions and answers, it looks as if Yahoo! Answers would take notice. Hiking, fishing, and camping get their own categories, so why not the shooting sports? Not every question regarding firearms can fall into the hunting category. I hope Answers takes notice soon. I plan on contacting them about this, and I hope that others who enjoy the shooting hobby will as well.

yes there should be a seperate category for guns. this would ope up a great chance to answer the questions more quickly without having to hunt for the gun questions in general.

Yeah, but they don't have a section for that, so we are stuck here. Besides, a lot of the same people who hunt also know a lot about guns and vice versa.

I agree as well, it took me awhile to notice the hunting section buried in the forums and the fact that the discussion is more about firearm ownership in general than actual hunting.

I think Yahoo in their best liberal fashion can't face the fact that people like to hunt let alone shoot for fun and have guns for self protection.
Put in the request. personally if I want to discuss guns I go to other message boards such as ar15. or a couple others.. Some of these sites tend to piss off the libs.

Don't blame the gun owners, blame Yahoo for being wusses and refusing to put up a gun category.
They've got all kinds of other stupid stuff here, I don't see what they have to lose by acknowledging something that already exists and is perfectly legal.
