It is hard for EVERYONE to lose weight. It is harder for females than for males, as a general rule, because a larger proportion of females' weight is fat. Males have more muscle which, when exercised and developed, assists in weight loss.

It's hard for almost everybody to lose weight.

Society is more harsh towards women concerning how thier bodies look.

We enjoy food so much, eating and dining is such fun, that when we take that away from ourselves, our lives are less enjoyable. So it's hard to maintain the discipline of dieting.

Look at the whole concept of 'comfort food.' I've found myself really saying to myself, "I've had a rotten day, so if I go get a chocolate milk shake, I'll feel better!" That's pretty common, and it's trouble.

By the way, people who are underweight also have a very hard time when they try to gain weight.

Its really not any harder for girls than guys actually. It takes will power and determination to lose weight. You need to be comitted to a dietary and exercise regimen daily....and most of all, do not munch unhealth items. The only thing different between the two sexes is the celulite thing. Womens cells are further apart than mans, thus women getting celulite and not men (unless obese). Just stick to good nutrition and get out there and exercise..no matter how minimal. But for it to be harder on females than males...not.

I will answer your question in the following way:

Men's usually eat more than women's do, men's has a more calorie ingesta than women's and for that reason men's burns calories more faster than women's.

So women's eat less, has a lower calorie ingesta and has lower speed to burn calories! So in few words thats the main reason women's fight hard to lose weight, but you have an advantage men's don't have, when women do excersice usually have more endurance than men.

But did you know that because of this particular situation women live longer than men, because men has a more deteriorating rhytm than women!

Good Luck and hope this can help you answer your doubt!

See ya!

because our bodies are designed to use that extra weight during pregnancy. Our bodies need that extra 'fat' to care for ourselves and the growing fetus, especially during lean times when we may not be able to get all the food we need (a throwback to the hunter/gatherer side of the family tree).

Because the couch, bon bons and soap operas are always calling their name. And girly girls dont do sports, so they pretty much work and lay around all day. That combined with eating can cause someone to gain weight.
