If you want to lose weight, a healthier approach would be to educate yourself about nutrition, evaluate your eating habits and make improvements, along with exercise. Slim Fast merely replaces food so that you don't have to make choices, but it does not help you learn how to eat healthy. You can't stay on Slim Fast forever, so you would likely regain any weight you've lost after stopping because you haven't modified how you eat.

I've looked at the Slim Fast labels. Yes, the foods might have whole grains. However, I've also seen things like high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils in the ingredients. The HFCS was one of the first five listings in some of those. Yikes. That is NOT healthy. For less money and much more healt, I could get a box of all-natural Kashi bars. I could also go to Trader Joe's for some all-natural bars as well.
I think Slim Fast is a nice gimmick to touch on people's insecurites. Skip the gimmicks and just go for all natural foods.

It can be a good part of a diet if it is consumed with meals that contain protein foods, calcium foods, fruits, whole grains and vegetables.
SlimFast is a low-calorie, moderate vitamin-mineral meal replacement. Their goal is to lower the calories, increase the nutrients and encourage participants to exercise. SlimFast will help people meet this goal. The problem is you become dependent upon the product to maintain weight loss. Otherwise, as soon as you go back to your old eating habits, the weight goes back up.

i dont think it sounds too healthy...i mean, you could drink cranberry juice and eat vitamins everyday and it's pretty much the same diet! basically, any diet where drinking a concoted milkshake is counted as a meal, aint the diet for me
