If someone posts "answersingenesis.com" as their source, do you find their answer more credible?
I want to count all "yes" and "no" answers, so everyone please answer and start with a "yes" or "no".
Thanks,

Lone Ranger, I'm working on my 3rd biology degree. Would you please elaborate on why you think evolution is "impossible"? I'm not sure what you mean by your tree frog question.

Lone Ranger,
You are laying out an argument for preserving biodiversity, which I agree with. A similar analogy is to imagine removing rivets from an airplane. A few is OK, but a take several and the plane is going down. This is an argument about ecology and the resilience of ecosystems. I don't see how it challenges evolution. Extinctions (individual species or mass extinctions) have happened throughout the history of life (99.9 percent of species that have ever inhabited the earth are extinct). Evolution explains how new species can diverge over time and fill the voids left by extinction. Humans are causing the 6th mass extinction. Our plane is wobbling in the air and may crash. Evolution provides hope that some other type of craft will rise into the sky.

No, I pretty much dismiss it out of hand. The people that run that site have made it very clear that they have no idea what they are talking about. Even a lay person should be able to see that. Therefore, I see any post citing them as willful ignorance.

Maybe and maybe not. The website seems mostly dedicated to selling materials proving the Creationists claims of a 6 day creation, which I disagree with, however, I do believe and agree with them, that we are the product of a Creator.
So, maybe, maybe not. From the website and title of it alone there is not enough facts for me to make a firm judgment.
I see you have a biology degree. Too bad you don't have understanding to go along with it. Evolution is an impossible concept. Please calculate the probabilities of the extinction of a tree frog in the rain forest of Brazil having a potential effect on us here in the USA (And it will have an effect!). It is impossible that we can have all this diversity, complexity, and interdependence without a very intelligent, powerful being setting it all in motion and guiding and directing the way it goes. As each link in the chain of life that He created is broken, we are all one step closer to the end of all life.
Edit: Just so you know, after history, biology was one of my favorite subjects in high school and college. alos, please bear with me spelling was my worse subject and the spell check quit working:)
To answer your question. As each species becomes extinct, their "cog in the machine" that is Earth disappears and the whole machine is weakened. As each "cog" disappears, the machine is one step closer to iniment breakdown. As a biologist, I am sure you are aware that many essential species like frogs and honeybees are disappearing. These species are absolutely essential to our planet's survival.
Think of it this way. Say you own an automobile. If you know anything about how they function, especially the newer ones, they are incredibly complex. Say a valve can break but the engine can keep running. However, the rest of the valves have to work harder to keep the engine working, which in turn will lead to another valve or other part failing. When too many parts fail, the engine will simply stop working.
So it is with God's creation. He has created each part to have a function that supports every other part, I believe science bears this out, and when one part dies, then the others have to work harder and are in danger of dying also. We are seeing today this creation on an ineveitable slide towards total breakdown. Hence the warnings about global warming and such things.
I watched all 10 episodes of "Planet Earth" in absolute awe of the marvelous things that God created, and in fear for what we have done to that creation.
I have no idea, nor does science, how old this planet and solar system and universe really is. Only God, the "Designer and Builder of the Machine" so to speak, really knows. I do know that it is more than the 6,000 years old that the "creationist" teach.
What I am asking you to do is calculate the mathematical probablilities of the divesity of life that exists on this planet happening by the random chance of evolution. As opposed to the very real concept of a Creator. If you don't want to call Him "God" I understand, I have friends that don't like that word, but realize that there is something bigger than us out there.

Nature, Science, Cell, Protein Science, Geology, and other such peer reviewed journals are good sources. The Wall Street Journal, NY Times, CNN, BBC and other such news services are good sources. Heck the Dictionary and most Encyclopedias aren't bad.
Any site with an agenda isn't a good one. You can use then as a reference and take their links to good sources. But the sites themselves are not good. I don't use talkorigins.com for the same reason.

LOL...no.
The very statement "answers in Genesis" shows that these people have an axe to grind. All their "work" is prejudiced from the beginning. They're simply looking for ways to make the facts jibe with their preconception.
Then they attack legitimate science for remaining impartial!

No. No science I know of is composed of attempting to show that other sciences don't agree with a 4000 year old cosmology and must be in error.

I do not even think wikkipidia is a good source for scientific material even though I am guilty of using it. Science should be sourced from a scientist not a theologian.
in the same respect a scientist is not a good source for theology.
