Since I have been on this site, I read so many posters claiming GOD is not about love, because of all the ills in the world, people's suffering, children dying and starving and lately people that say what kind of GOD would ask you to sacrafice your children.
First the most important thing is that GOD commands us to love and trust him above anything else in this world, including children, parents, friends...That is also the First Commandment.

Most of us trust people but only to a point because putting all your faith and trust in a human being can ultimately bring dis-appointment because human beings are im-perfect, and can fail. I sometimes ask myself why GOD permitted such beautiful humble created to be slaughtered or eaten in vicious ways by
predators, but I also remember Jesus' sacrafice, GOD's promises that will never fail from a Loving perfect GOD.

Do you think people who don't believe understand that kind of trust?

Non-christians (non-believers) can't possibly understand faith and trust in Jesus (God). Many anti-christians are rebelling against God and His truth.
Jesus told Peter He couldn't recognize Jesus without his spiritual eyes being open:
και αποκριθεις ο ιησους ειπεν αυτω μακαριος ει σιμων βαρ ιωνα οτι σαρξ και αιμα ουκ απεκαλυψεν σοι αλλ ο πατηρ μου ο εν τοις ουρανοις

And Jesus answered and said unto him Blessed art thou Simon Barjona for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee but my Father which is in heaven.

Did you know that Enormity really means.

1. outrageous or heinous character; atrociousness: the enormity of war crimes.
2. something outrageous or heinous, as an offense: The bombing of the defenseless population was an enormity beyond belief.

People lack of education and misuse of the word forced the incorrects meaning into the dictionary. It's it great how ignorance changes the face of the english language.

Now take what you said with the true definition and it's actually quite funny.

You do not have trust. You have faith.

Faith is not earned it is just given. Trust needs to be earned.

I trust science. It is repeatable, reliable makes predictions that are found to be true. It has shown itself to be trustworthy.

Note the existence of the word 'trustworthy' and what that implies. There is no equivalent 'faithworthy' because it is meaningless.

Other than saving some, while others die, granting wishes in a way that is equivalent to a random universe, what has your God done to make him trustworthy?

That's actually a very interesting question.
What does that mean, "trust"?
Do you trust god to catch you if you fall off of a cliff?
Do you trust that god will keep disease away from you and your family?
Do you trust that god will keep harm away from you and your family?
Do you trust that you and your family don't have to have jobs because god will magically pay your bills and bring you groceries?
Or is this "trust" merely a matter of believing that you will go to heaven while some others may not?
Just curious....

The Holy Spirit of God does not stay interior us. The Holy Spirit of God is his energetic tension, a potential that God controls mentally. The Holy Spirit can handle styles of being; a dove case in point. it is poured out; it may fill one up; it is common to be baptized with Holy Spirit; however the Holy Spirit can communicate with the aid of one so chosen by potential of God, conversing until eventually now people who question Gods servant.

Proverbs 3[kjv]
5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

JESUS loves you.Have u recieved JESUS for the forgiveness of your sins?

John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with the blood JESUS shed on the cross.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

I am not sure people want to believe in that kind of trust if they do not believe in the supreme being of God.
