Help! I need to change my status to dependent on my 1040EZ 2006 tax return. I know I need to use a 1040X, but where and how do I change my status? On my 2006 1040EZ tax return, I claimed myself, but then my father also claimed me too on his, so now I need to change my status to DEPENDENT. How do I do this??? HELLLLPPPP!!!!

On line 25 which is on page 2. In the first column put 1 in the middle column put -1 and in the third colum put 0. Change to dollar amount on line 4 from $3,300 to 0.

Lines 4 and 25 as Mathew said - also put a note in Part II on page 2 of the 1040X explaining why you're making the change.
