I had what seemed to be a typical cold, so I took some Tylenol for it and had a cup of soothing tea. I also had an Ibuprofen tablet for my period, but all these substances were taken at least 3 or 4 hours apart form each other. I went to bed and woke up this morning, and all of the sudden I felt this tingling pressure over my face, mostly at the bridge of my nose, and everything got really bright.

After that subsided after a minute and then I started breaking out into a heavy cold sweat and then my hands froze and got very tight. It felt like they were vibrating and tingling and it was hard for me to move my fingers. (felt kind of like my hands were swollen, though they didn't appear to be) I got really pale and laid down. After an hour or so I woke up and flt better.

What the hell happened to me? (I think I od'd on medication?)

Thanks so much!

I would call my doctor. They'd definitely know right away or be able to figure it out, as opposed to the users of Answers that probably aren't doctors.

This happened to my older cousin before. Do not combine medicines. Even if you wait for a while, do not ever mix medicines. They need a chance to work into your system before you can actually take anymore. You should have waited until morning to take the Ibuprofen. Tylenol and Ibuprofen don't mix that well, even though they are practically the same thing.

Sounds like a panic attack to me, I've been getting them for a couple of years, the worst ones are where you get a tingling sensation in your face and hands and you start hyperventilating and feel really dizzy.

But don't take my word, you should probably seek proper medical advice.

It probably has nothing to do with the medicine you took. I usually get this feeling about twice a year, I don't know what causes it, but I feel the same way you did, and I also feel like if I don't lay down I'm going to pass out.

probably just the combination of the cold and the medicine. You probably had a fever that was breaking that caused the sweats. If it happens again, go to the doctor.

Sounds like it could've been a migraine headache. Migraines do weird things to you.
