That is scratching the surface. Yes Christianity is true and Bible prophecy is coming to pass.

But the reason I believe in Jesus Christ is much deeper. It's my personal relationship with him. All these atheist can rant all they want and say it's not so. But they can never take away what God has done for me. He is true not because I choose to believe him but rather my spirit bares witness with the Holy Ghost. He lives in me.

I would have never have known this without the Bible and ALL that is written in it. The entire Word of God is true, this is what Christians know for a fact. Christianity is true because of the Bible.

This is what gets me. The spirit has to first draw us. Some accept Jesus and a lot reject him. Some say I read it and it didn't do anything for me. They have a hard heart. Faith without works is dead. We must believe in the Word of God. What kind of faith is it if you have to see it first. Without faith it is impossible to please God.

No.

Some things are bound to happen anyways. Those are not true prophecies.
Some things are wrongfully attached to prophecies due to loose interpretation. Those are not true prophecies.
Some things are immitations or recreations of "art" whether it be direct and intentional or by the power of suggestion (consider the possibility that the idea for an implanted chip came from the book of Revelation, therefore making it a result of influence rather than the fullfillment of a prophecy).
And a few other things are simply coincidence or chance.

And what about the many failed prophecies? Should those not disprove Christianity?

Well, if you believe the Bible prophecy then you will believe Christianity which is introduced to us in the Bible is true. If you do not believe the prophecies then you may not believe in Christianity. Kinda hard for us to convince one that doesn't believe by using the same book as our source.

Things can always be skewed by whatever agenda people have. Some people believe that Nostradamus' predictions are telling the future. One of the few people I have seen that has been swayed by Bible prophecy is Josh McDowell. Author of "Evidence that demands a verdict" and "More Evidence".

Ask the Jews.

Their ancestors wrote those prophecies and none of them seem to think Christianity has anything to do with them.

Most of the so-called 'prophecies' that the Christians cite aren't prophecies at all, and others are deliberately taken out of context or deliberately mistranslated.

For those who have read the Bible from cover to cover, reading that parts the Christians DON'T use, usually the next page, is enough to expose the nonsense for what it is.

It's not true because of anything. Even if the Bible were not written it would have been true the very same. We are able to realise that it is true because of prophecies and other truths that the Bible tells.

No.

Many of the supposed "fulfilled prophecies" are based on mistranslations - e.g. the "Virgin Birth," supposedly prophesied in Isaiah 7:14; the original Hebrew text only meant "young woman," but was mistranslated as "virgin."

Others are the sorts of "fulfillments" that you or I could effect in exactly the same way today. How hard would it have been for Jesus to procure a donkey to ride into Jerusalem, in "fulfillment" of Zechariah 9:9?

Others again are mere literary flourishes.

No, the Bible is true because of Christ.
Prophecy is true because every one that had an appointed time, did come to pass;
example: there is no dispute among scholars of the dates of the writings of the Psalms, and yet Psalms 22 and 23 were quoted by Christ on the Cross as a message to you that he was, at that appointed time, fulfilling prophecy. Those Psalms wrote of the crucifiction in complete detail, right down to what the people were doing at the foot of the Cross. The Psalms were written one thousand years BEFORE the crucifiction of Christ. Rest quite assured that every prophecy written will come to pass exactly as it is written, and in no other way and at no other time but the time appointed. Believe it when you see it.

Christianity is true because Christ existed. Historical fact. He founded a religious movement called Christianity that replaced Roman deities in the year 300 of the common era.

No. Christianity fails to deliver proof for its assertions consistantly. Given the lack of evidence to support what is claimed to be true in the bible and christianity it is pretty safe to say it is all a fabrication.

If you enjoy it, enjoy it, but be clear about the difference between truth and belief.
