Alcohol, because of the increased possibility of commiting sin, and the weakening of the will. Also, the Bible says,"Do not be drunk with wine, wherein is excess.." just a few reasons.
Dancing, because of the temptations which may come. Again, just one reason.
Cards, because of the temptation to gamble, but the others you mentioned seem to be originally based not on Biblical beliefs, but rather on their eisegesis of certain scriptures.
Eisegesis is when a person places THEIR interpretation into a scripture, instead of drawing out the real and intended meaning(exegesis)
Now in our day, very few of the SB believe that way. Thank God people have finally had the brains to read and get that straight about the slavery and interracial issues.
I suspect that it is the largest protestant denom. because after WW 2, many members moved into different parts of the country and a result was they began new churches wherever they went.
Speaking from personal experience, I have seen a heavy emphasis on evangelism and witnessing from them. It seemed like every year there was some new training program to get people to get out there and get someone new in.
I suspect many have done this, not from the proper motives, but because they felt pushed into it, made to feel obligated to do it, and sometimes even intimidated into doing it.

I'm not southern baptist, but I'll give you a heads up.
Drinking. Drunkenness IS a sin. Can you guarantee that when you begin drinking at a party that you won't impair your judgment at all? Even one drink impairs affects your brain to some degree. And you have to ask yourself how is your heart. Are you going to test the limit and get as close to drunk as you can without sinning or are you just going to say I'm not going to go there.
Dancing. If you are dancing in a lude, sexual way infront of people, that is sin and may caus eothers to sin. If you aren't husband and wife, you shouldn't be rubbing up on other people and if you are, you shouldn't be putting on a show, possibly causing others to lust and sin, etc.
The slavery, interracial dating, and cards things aren't Biblical stands at all. I don't even know if they actually believe those things.

okay...Jesus' First Miracle was turning Water into Wine at a wedding...he liked to party as much as the rest of the people around that time...but the thing to be remembered is that NO where in the bible does it mention him stumbling, or puking, or being a drunk. He understood that in moderation it is okay...it is when we let it take control of our lives that it is wrong. When it turns our eyes away from God that Drinking (really anything) becomes and issue.

I don't know, but I've always loved this joke:
Why are Southern Baptists against sex standing up?
It might lead to dancing.

Because God and his people think everything I do is a sin.
Isn't accusing someone a sin?

When I was very, very young, I went to a private school that was run by Southern Baptists.
In our "Bible Class" textbooks, they had changed any reference to wine to "grape juice".
