I recently went to a salon that I've been going to for about ten years to get brown highlites. My hairdresser decides that she does not think that I should get the brownish lites. She talked me into getting red after bugging me for 20 min. I had bright "woody woodpecker" red. I know it is "in" right now but it's just not for me. My normal haircolor is very dark brown. I put a hair color over it this week that was a medium brown, cool. It definatly made it calmer but in the sun it all is still bright red. How can I get my hair back to a warm brown instead of birght red?

Yes it is possible to get the red out! =) Funny thing is, the same thing happened to me about 3 weeks ago. I bought a dark ash brown, and the redness is now very suttle.

u cn never get red hairdyemout yoiur hair, even if its not permanent, its the most aggressive hair dye out there, if u leave it theywill go orange, you probably have to dye your hair brown again.
