Is there anything strange about your appearance?.......you could just go up to him and ask him why is he staring at you?....sort of lighten it up and say "do I have something in my teeth?

umm. maybe you were looking nice that day, or he really liked looking at you. Just casually come up to him, and say something like "I know Gym can be tiring on the body, were you relaxing your eyes by looking at me?" It will be casual yet funny...
