Ha! Are you serious! That's hilarious!
But who cares what he does on his own time anyway? I don't think he'll pay you for that...

I think you have put yourself in an ugly situation with your wife and you should not have done this to the priest. I bet your wife feels like she cant trust you herself and is very embarrased. And come on man what is wrong with the priest going in the xxx store. Are you that concerned with other peoples business. And I bet your not exactly an upstanding citizen yourself. If you want to get technical who is. You cant get her to see it helps. You will be letting her down if you do this. If you were a real man you would beg for money before doing this if you are that desperate. I hope that priest tells you to go ahead and expsose the picture and laugh in your face when you do. Get a life! (I so understand how your wife feels.) Besides your plan may backfire on you. What would the church community think of you for doing this?

I am sorry but I do belive it is sickening and propostrous. First of all your are defaming the word of God by doing this. I understand the priest is in the wrong for being at that XXX store but if he wants to go there against God it is between him and God. I owe the IRS 10,000 dollars and 20,000 dollars in debt. I am not doing what you are doing I just live day by day and pay what I can, that is life. We all have our ups and down. This is not the end of the world pick yourself up little by little but not like this. If you go to church you know the word of God and it's exactly the opposite of all this. Plus remember God can tighten the noose but will never choke us. In my opinion it's degrading and wrong under the eyes of our Lord. Help yourself by getting another job or part time job or her doing the same. Sell something you have, most americans are strapped for cash because they like to spend too much money they don't have. Create a budget tone downt the spending create a savings account and each paycheck put in 5 dollars, the same 5 dollars one uses for MCd's, or cigarrettes. Don't feel hopeless and don't stoop to that level remember God is with you always and I suggest you switch churches maybe that is why you are not progressing because the PRIEST who is supposed to be as holy is not. Try a change! Good Luck.

What you are wanting to do is to blackmail for personal gain. It's way wrong. It's probably a bigger sin that what the Priest was doing. And how do you know that the Priest wasn't coming out of that store with books to help counsel a couple from the church. I use to have to pay every year come income tax time so I switched as to who does my taxes and now I'm getting advice as to what to do to lower my tax bracket. May be you should take the same thing.

You are attempting to extort someone--and that is ILLEGAL. Also, you are asking the priest to LIE about you donating money to the church. I agree with your wife. You aren't doing something to help your family, you are doing something illegal--plus you are trying to force someone else to do something illegal. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Everyone owes taxes but that doesn't mean we all run out and try to blackmail someone to make our lives easier. Examine your conscience. What you are attempting to do is wrong.

Your wife is right, it is blackmail. Moral problems aside, what you're intending is illegal, and not only could you be in big trouble for tax fraud, you could also do jail time... and all it would take is your priest turning you in.. or someone else (like your wife...). HOWEVER, I think you DO have a moral obligation to share your findings with your priest's superiors, (for no personal gain of your own) just in case this priest (like many) has the tendencies of a sexual predator. But I wouldn't mention it to the congregation, just in case the guy was buying a hustler.... come on, he never gets any... gotta find relief somewhere?? Anyway.. that's my opinion... it's not worth landing your butt in jail.

Your wife is right and you are wrong. You are blackmailing the man and that is a felony. You are conspiring to commit fraud against the US IRS and that is a felony. You are taking advantage of one mans weakness for your own gain and that is a sin. You are falling into the Lord's trap where He said, let he who is without sin first cast the stone. You are not without sin and should not be casting stones at others.
If you are genuinely concerned with this man's behavior, then you should go and talk to him privately about your concerns, and that is only if you are actually concerned about his welfare, not your own selfish advantage.
I don't care how you rationalize it, your idea is disgusting and wrong on so many levels.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. The priest should not be in a XXX store either but you CAN NOT blackmail him. If you go through with it it will surely be your one way ticket to HELL.
Please reconcider you position on this but still let the priest know you saw him.

In 1973, when Syria and Egypt attacked israel on yom kippur, the holiest fast day in the jewish calendar, the Israelis were completely unprepared. they earliest battles ended with routs of Israeli soldiers, and the army needed to be restocked. Whatever nuclear weapons Israel has are trained on the Arab nations in Israel's immediate vicinity. America knows this, and also knows that if Israel is on the verge of destruction, those nukes will be launched in order to bring down those around it (as Samson did with the biblical plishtim, thus, he is the namesake of the plan). so yes, Israel used nuclear blackmail against the united states. but I have a question for you? do you believe that israel should have fallen to its enemies instead of using every possible resource to remain in place? you are either for Israel or against it. if you are against israel defending itself, than you should just go back to your little bubble in the states and stop asking big boy questions whose answers may "shock" you

It may be to help, but that is a serious crime- it is called EXTORTION...and If your priest was smart he would turn you in... it is not like you seen him molesting a child... he is a human, and if he wants to go home with a movie and give himself a hand then so be it- atleast he is not so desperate that he is feeling up kids... you are sick for blackmailing a man of the clothe...and i hope he does not back down to you and he stands his ground... you are ridiculous.-your wife has every reason to be mad not to mention humiliated by your behavior.
