Microderm Abrasion –smoothes, retexturizes & gently buffs skin. “Microderm helps to renew your skin cells & stimulate collagen production for firmer skin. MDA is designed to remove dead skin cells, age spots, acne scars & minimize pores.
Only used once a week at night before bed. You should see results quickly.
Becareful of the abrasion cream you want to use on that has high quality ingredients. You get what you pay for! Cheap ones can leave pits in your skin. Not a great look.
One that is amazing for both men and women is BeautiControl's Microderm Abrasion System. Same ingrediants as the professionals but not as costly. they cost $150+ per session you get 8 to 14 wks of use in BCs MDA! Great product. It can only be ordered online or from a skincare specialist. www.beautipage.com/melissacart... is one place you can get it. Hope this helps

if your acne scars are just dark spots, go to your local drug store and find those whitening pens which are meant for applying on dark spots, like acne scars, only, and not all over your face. otherwise you could buy a pot of whitening cream for the face. they do not really lighten your complexion. mostly, such creams evens out your uneven skin tone, lightening your blemishes and scars. another way is to apply vitamin E essence on your scars. vitamin E is vital for skin renewal. vitamin E essence is very concentrated vitamin E, so it wont be cheap. in Singapore, it's about SGD$25 to $30 for a tiny bottle.
if you have the money, laser treatments like Intense Pulse Light, should work. it's faster, but i heard it's painful. laser treatments would work for scars which are just dark spots, and serious scars which actually look like "holes" in your skin.
suntanning will worsen your scars, because the dark spots on your skin will get darker, faster. the reason why scars are always darker than you skin is that new skin under your wound produces more melanine when exposed to the sun, making it darker than your surrounding skin, in a much shorter time.

Depending on the scars and also depending on what you're willing to do, there are a range of products.
You could try products from supermarkets etc first, see if they improve the appearance.
Or you could try talking to your doctor, it may be that they suggest a product or refer you to a dermatologist who really knows what they're talking about =).

See your doctor or a dermatologist & ask about Retin-A. It helps promote cell turnover & stimulates collagen production which minimizes shallow acne scars.

I'm sure there's various products out there, but getting a tan helps reduce the appearance of them. I would try to call your Dr. and see what he/she says. Good Luck
