What made you turn to god at a later point in your life rather than raised in it from infancy like most people?

Well for one, no one is born a Christian, it doesn't happen that way. But what made me turn to God was the fact that a few months before my conversion I was in a bad car accident that should had killed me, and for the next couple months I was kinda searching for answers, in that search from reading the Bible and listening to sermons etc... things finally made sense. I realized that the life I was leading was contrary to God's will, further more I saw the fact that I had broken God's Law, and would be found guilty on Judgment Day. That realization made the grace and mercy that God showed us on the cross that much more amazing, and it helped it to make sense. The love that God showed us on the cross literally brought me to my knees, and well, that's when I repented of my sins and put my faith in Christ.

During infancy we are led by what is kept before us. We dont have the thinking ability, so the moment we start using our brains.... we accept the Lord as our true and personal saviour for we know that our lives belong to Him alone...

It depends on your upbringing. Some "Born again" Christians were not raised in a Christian home. Kirk Cameron is a Christian and he wasn't raised going to church and look at him now. He has made it his life to reach out and talk to people about God.

You can't turn to him in infancy, though I realize many are deluded into thinking they can. I turned when I was 8 btw.

Problems existed in my life that were beyond my control, or my ability to fix.
I was pushed into a corner to actually TRUST someone else besides myself with my life, my health, my family, etc.
I turned to Jesus Christ, and He saved me AND gave me a new life along with the convictions to live it.

being born into a Christian family doesn't make you a Christian. As Jesus said to Nicodemus, You must be born again.

i never doubt-ed the wish of a grand creator. I call him FATHER then DA-DA.
